ANNUAL MEETING HELD
The Humane Society and SPCA of Hancock County held its annual meeting and volunteer recognition dinner February 13th, 2008 in the Multipurpose Center. Renee Boucher, Volunteer/Education Coordinator, greeted all those in attendance.
Cheryl Buckland received both the 2007 Board of Director and the Volunteer of the Year award. Buckland was honored for her involvement in establishing the low-cost spay/neuter clinic and acquiring funding through outside foundations.

A grant of $2,000
was received from the Greater Fostoria Community Foundation for a vehicle
accessorizing project.
Highlights included the opening of the society's low cost spay/neuter clinic to
the public. The society also closed its overnight drop-off in an effort to
control contagious disease.
The names of 5 people
were presented to serve 3 year terms on the board of directors, including Dave
Calland, Greg Coward, Kurt Heminger, Jim Hayslip and Ron Hohlfelder.
