Contributions & Memberships
A gift on behalf of animals in our Care

The Society is a non-profit organization that relies on contributions from the community to continue our services of caring for those animals that are unwanted or are strays. We receive no funding from national organizations. Without continued contributions, the Society will not be able to fulfill its mission of educating the public on care and responsible treatment of animals; to humanely provide for and protect unwanted, lost and abused animals; and to create a quality environment for all animals through its policies and presence in the community.

All of your donations go towards our many expenses, such as: education programs, low-cost spay/neuter clinic, vaccinations, medications, food, cleaning supplies, housing and care for pets brought to us, newsletter, website, etc.

The Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County is exempt under Section 501 ( c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, making any gift tax deductible. The staff and Board of Directors are grateful for any level of giving on behalf of the animals in our care.
