*Do you have any other animals besides what is on your website?
- No, the website is kept current with what animals are available for adoption in our facility. Click on home page Adopt a Pet.
*Where is the Humane Society located?
- The Humane Society address is 4550 Fostoria Ave. Findlay, Ohio
*How long should it take for a new animal to adjust to my household?
- This will depend on the animal, as well as the environment. On average it will take a new animal 6 months to 1 year to fully adjust.
*Can I trade my cat/dog in for a new one?
-NO! Once you owner surrender an animal you will not be allowed to adopt from our shelter for 1 year.
*How old to you have to be to volunteer?
-All volunteers must be 18 or older (no exceptions).
*Do I need to make an appointment to see the animals?
-No, the animals are able to be viewed during our regular hours, anyone under 18 must be with an adult!
*I saw a dog on the internet I would like to adopt, will you hold it for me until I can get off work?
-NO, the only way to put a hold on an animal is to first visit with the animal, then fill out the proper paperwork. You must put the full adoption fee ($125 for dogs, $105.00 for cats) down either cash or credit card to hold the animal. This will hold the animal until the close of the next business day.

The Humane Society Foundation of Hancock County is an organization which solicits resources for the continuation of the mission of the Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County. Gifts to the foundation insure the continuation of the Humane Society's animal care and shelter programs.
